The "Dirty Dozen" is an annual list published by the Environmental Working Group (EWG) that identifies fruits and vegetables with the highest levels of pesticide residues. This list aims to inform consumers about which produce items are better to buy organic to minimize pesticide exposure. I recommend purchasing these 12 produce items organic when possible.

Strawberries
Spinach
Kale, Collard & Mustard Greens
Grapes
Peaches
Pears
Nectarines
Apples
Bell and hot peppers
Cherries
Blueberries
Green Beans
Tip: How to clean produce
I clean all my produce, whether it's organic or not. To clean produce, mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda or 1 tablespoon of vinegar with 2 cups of cold water. Soak your fruits and vegetables in this solution for 12-15 minutes. Rinse them by gently rubbing under filtered running water.
